Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes - Stuffing

3/4 cup butter
2 large celery stalks with leaves chopped (1 1/2 cups)
1 large onion chopped (1 cup)
10 cups soft bread cubes (15 slices)
1 1/2 tsp fresh thyme or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground sage
1/4 tsp pepper

Melt butter in a skillet. Add celery and onion and cook until tender. In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients. Toss 1/3 of the bread mixture with the celery and onions. Add contents of skillet to the remaining bread mixture and toss together. Bake in or out of turkey.
