While a student at Oberlin College I benefited from Ricks's shift to BYUI and the cancellatiion of their sports program. OC recruited football players from BYUI, many of whom became good friends of mine. Having grown up on football with five brothers in my home, I quickly became an OC football fan. (FYI: Heisman of the Heisman Trophy was an Obie!) We went to Cleveland to see the Case Western v. Oberlin game and met up with Kjirsti and Tom there. Our friend, Charity, and her son AX went with us. AX looked quite the part of a OC football fan!
